Nova Technology designs and builds its own multi-axis motion control systems to drive our advanced robotics. When necessary, we develop custom software to meet the specific needs of the project. |
|
|
|
| Typically, our
robotic tools contain high power miniature servo motors that are required to
perform sequential moves to position cameras, transducers, or measurement
devices into very specific locations. Often, we have to deal with long cable lengths (hundreds of
feet), high EMF environments, and poor line conditions. We use the highest quality components to build control
systems that are suitable for almost any application - servo motors, stepper
motors, brushless motors, or any combination - with up to 16 or
more axes.
Our PC based systems can include such features as a "teaching" mode, multi-axis coordinated motion, variable error and torque limits, high speed switching, dynamic feedback, and dual loop control all through a easy-to-use Windows interface. To simplify user control, we can incorporate a joystick and/or a "touch screen" monitor to any PC based controller. By selecting only the highest quality devices, and carefully sizing components to their anticipated load, we can build control systems that are extremely robust, versatile, and rugged enough to withstand field use.
|
|
| For less complex control
applications, we use small stand-alone controllers that contain all
of the necessary power, memory, control processors, video components, and interface functions in one box.
Using touch-panel displays and ergonomically placed switches, we
can develop interfaces that are simple to use, easy to clean, and reliable.
